DALLAS, TX – The Oak Cliff Cultural Center is pleased to announce the upcoming grand opening of our newest culinary addition, Guillames’ Gourmet To-Geaux on September 9, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m at the center. The grand opening is free and open to the public.
Expanding from his current establishment at the Jack Evans Police Headquarters, Guillaumes’ Gourmet To-Geaux offers delicious and affordable food selections to the patrons and guests of the Oak Cliff Cultural Center, neighboring merchants and customers. The menu includes fresh pastries, natural fruit parfaits, freshly made salads, home made soups, gourmet select coffee and more. Guillaumes' food selection is authentic with a flare for the eccentric. Owned and operated by Chef Saul Williams III, Guillaumes' also strives to create food with natural and sustainable ingredients. As Chef Williams puts it, “I am proud to be a part of this historic area, but the best is yet to come!” Come in and taste Gourmet-To-Geaux items at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center weekdays 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and Saturdays 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The Oak Cliff Cultural Center is excited to be the site host of the grand opening that will include opening remarks from owner Chef Saul Williams III, with a live and informative cooking demonstration and plenty of free samples. Located in a historic storefront in the vibrant commercial district of Jefferson Avenue in Oak Cliff, the Oak Cliff Cultural Center opened its doors in August 2010. The facility was purchased and renovated by the City of Dallas through the 2003 Bond Program to function as a permanent City-owned arts center where residents and visitors of Oak Cliff could experience a variety of arts and cultural programs. The 5,000 sq. ft. storefront features a visual arts gallery and a dance studio/rehearsal space. The Oak Cliff Cultural Center is open Tuesday – Thursday, 3:00-9:00 p.m., Friday, 1:00-6:00 p.m., and Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
The City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA) works to enhance the vitality of the City and the quality of life for all Dallas citizens by creating an environment wherein arts and cultural organizations can thrive so that people of all ages can enjoy opportunities for creative expressions and the celebration of our community’s multicultural heritage.
