Reliant to Help Texans “Beat the Heat”
with Summer Assistance Programs
Cooling Centers, Flat-Rate Plans, Energy Assistance Offer Relief on High Temperatures, Managing Energy Costs for Dallas Residents
WHAT: For the sixth consecutive year, Reliant Beat the Heat Centers will provide sites for Dallas residents to stay cool during the day and minimize home electricity use. Across Texas, Reliant provides nearly $750,000 in bill payment assistance through the CARE (Community Assistance by Reliant Energy) Program, available through social service agencies, and flexible payment options for those customers in need. Moreover, Reliant’s Predictable 12 plan lets customers pay the same amount for electricity every month, for 12 months, with no surprises – no matter the season.
