RFA Posted: Public ISD Energy Efficiency Grants

The Comptroller's State Energy Conservation Office (SECO) has issued a Request for Application (RFA) for the State Energy Program's Public ISD Energy Efficiency Grants for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system (HVAC) upgrades or retrofits. 

Purpose of Grants: To reduce facility operating costs for taxpayer-supported Texas public Independent School Districts (ISDs) by providing grant funding which will be used to replace existing inefficient HVAC systems with new, energy-efficient HVAC systems. 

Budget Allocation (Amount Available to Award): approximately $2.5 million in competitive grants for fiscal 2012 (Sept. 1, 2011, through Aug. 31, 2012.)
