Texas Sales Tax Webinars – January 2012

Consumers, retailers and practitioners are invited to join us for sales tax webinars. Participants must register in advance. Each session is limited to 1,000 participants. New topics will be presented periodically.

The following webinars will be presented in January 2012:

The Texas Agricultural Sales Tax Exemption: The New Registration Requirement - Thursday, Jan. 26
This session will explain the new registration requirement in regards to the agricultural exemption for Texas sales tax. It will also explain who is qualified to claim the exemption and what types of items qualify for exemption.

Exempt Organizations, Texas Sales Tax and Fundraisers - Tuesday, Jan. 31
This presentation will provide an overview of Texas sales and use tax as it applies to sales and purchases made by Exempt Organizations. The presentation will focus on fundraising and explain when tax must be collected and who is responsible for reporting and remitting the tax to the state.
