TPASS Update: Access to File Transfer Protocol (FTP) files

As part of the Comptroller’s ongoing effort to provide data security for our customers, public purchasing-related files available on the Comptroller’s FTP site (ftp://ftp.cpa.state.tx.us/) have been transferred to the Comptroller's web server. Please share the following information with your purchasing and technical staff.

Customers can now download vendor and agency contact data files and related documentation from the Purchasing Publications section on the Window on State Government website at: http://www.window.state.tx.us/procurement/pub/downloads

In addition, if a state agency or CO-OP member requires secure FTP transfers for TPASS file content, the files are also available on our new secure FTP solution using SFTP or FTPS protocols. To use secure FTP, you will need to establish an account with CPA and provide additional details about your connection.

To assist with this transition, existing FTP content will continue to be available at the current location through March 1, 2012, at which time CPA will retire the public FTP access.

We hope to serve the majority of our customers with little to no impact; however, if you do require the use of our secure FTP solution, please send an email to Cody.Hays@cpa.state.tx.us with contact information and any questions or you may contact us by telephone at 512-463-3392.  You will then receive further instructions.

Thank you for working with CPA through this transition, and please let us know if we can help or provide additional information.
