Carol Ashworth, owner of Ashworth Landscape Architects, will present an overview of what trees grow best in Nashville, when to plant and other tips for maximizing the most of your garden landscape. Also learn how to protect historic and specimen trees on your property. Carol was co-author of the newly published Urban Tree Canopy Master Plan for Nashville.

Laura Mulloy will explain property boundary issues affecting trees, when to call for legal assistance, and what to do about trees that are not on your property but affect it. Laura is an attorney with the law firm, King & Ballow.

What are pests and diseases that affect the health of our trees? The Emerald Ash Borer, already present in Nashville, has the potential to devastate 10% of Davidson County's tree canopy. Learn more about this and many pests that could threaten our urban canopy and how to treat them.

The plan is to rezone from R15 and R8 to SP-R for property located at

Vaughns Gap Rd at the southwest corner of the intersection of Vaughns
Gap Rd & Hwy 100 to permit various residential units,
behind the Boost Athletic Club building; previously used as outside
tennis court.
The development team is looking for community input on the revised plan prior to submitting it to the Planning Commission.
