Celebrate America's 250th at the Collierville Independence Day Celebration
Join us for a community celebration honoring the 250th birthday of our nation at the Collierville Independence Day Celebration! On Thursday, July 2, we will celebrate together at HW Cox Park (440 W Powell Road).
The order of events includes:
6 p.m. - Food vendors open. 7 p.m. - Entertainment begins. 9:30 p.m. - Fireworks grand finale!
The evening will kick off with a performance by Alexis Grace, the Memphis-born artist who first gained national recognition on Season 8 of American Idol. She will be followed by Party Planet, delivering a high-energy set packed with favorite dance hits.
The program will also feature a special tribute honoring our nation’s military service members, along with a commemorative performance by the TN Mass Choir in celebration of America’s 250th birthday.
The night will conclude with Collierville’s signature 18-minute fireworks display - one of the largest in the Mid-South and a highlight you won’t want to miss.
The rain date is Friday, July 3.

The Town of Collierville has officially unveiled the lineup for the highly anticipated 2026/2027 season of Harrell Live! Expanding to seven performances following a successful inaugural year, the series brings world-class, national touring musicians and performers directly to the heart of Collierville at the intimate, 350-seat Harrell Theatre.
The second season features two headliners, a diverse array of musical genres, and the introduction of a dedicated family series, Harrell Live Kids.
The 6-show mainstage season package is priced at $248 (before ticketing fees), reflecting a 20% savings over individual ticket prices (approximately $41 per show). Because of the theater's limited 350-seat capacity, high demand is expected.
Season ticket packages are on sale NOW through Thursday, July 9th. Individual tickets go on sale Friday, July 10th.
Puppy Pals Live is a specially priced family event sold separately from the main season package.
Town of Collierville offices will be closed Friday, July 3, 2026 for Independence Day. Sanitation services will NOT be affected; trash, recycling, yard-waste, and commercial collection will occur on your regular collection day the week of June 29 - July 3.
The Collierville Burch Library will observe the following holiday schedule:
Thursday, July 2, 2026: Closing early at 6 p.m.
Friday, July 3: Open normal hours.

Shelter Pet Spotlight - Meet Checkers!🐾
Checkers has overcome a difficult start and is ready for a fresh beginning with a loving family. This mixed-breed boy was found abandoned in a kennel at an empty house and arrived at the shelter severely underweight. Thanks to the care he received, Checkers is now healthy, happy, and back to his sweet, curious, and playful self.
Checkers is an affectionate companion who loves people and enjoys spending time with his favorite humans. While loud noises, such as large trucks, can make him a little nervous, he quickly warms up once he feels comfortable in his surroundings. Those who know him describe him as one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet.
Checkers is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. If you're looking for a loving best friend, Checkers may be the perfect match.
