Sycamore Road is now open, providing some relief to traffic near Collierville High School. Still, delays are expected in the area, so drivers are urged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
The section of Sycamore Road between Highway 72 and Shelby Drive is the portion that has reopened. Recent upgrades, including the installation of a new traffic signal at Highway 72, have already contributed to safer travel in the area. Additionally, the Collierville Police Department will be in these major intersections to help with traffic flow and safety.
EXPECT DELAYS!
We anticipate significant traffic congestion, especially in the mornings. Please:
- Plan for extra travel time
- Expect worst-case traffic delays
- Drive cautiously in school zones
As a reminder, the portion of Shelby Drive from Quinn Road to Fire Station #6, will remain closed until the end of the year as part of the ongoing TDOT widening project.
