Start the new year with inspiration and actionable insights for achieving balance in your professional and personal life. Join us for a meaningful conversation led by Madan Birla, renowned author, speaker, and leadership expert during this program on Saturday, February 15 at 1 p.m. The first ten registrants will receive a copy of Birla's book, Balanced Life and Leadership Excellence: A Nurturing Relationship. Registration is required.
Volunteers from AARP Tax Aide will be at the Library to assist patrons with completing their taxes on a first come, first served basis. Assistance will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Tuesday from February 2 to April 15. Please sign in with an AARP volunteer upon arrival. Please bring all important documentation with you to the Library.
Mary Golden with Raymond James will share straightforward, practical information to help you plan for your retirement needs. Whether you’re still working, newly retired, or already settled into retirement, Mary provides solutions to help prioritize your goals, reduce stress, and uncover strategies that work for you. Join her for this engaging session on Wednesday, February 26 at 10:30 a.m. Registration is required.
Prepare for academic success with Inquisitive Mind Tutoring's ELA TCAP Prep program for students in grades 3 to 5 and one accompanying guardian. This session will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from noon until 1:30 p.m. in the Halle Room. Registration is required. $20 per student fee.
Join us for this two-session workshop to prepare for the ACT test, presented by Inquisitive Mind Tutoring for teens in grades 9 to 12. In the first session, basic coverage of all four subject areas will be provided. The second session will be a full-length proctored ACT practice test. Meet in the Library's Halle Meeting Room on Saturday, February 1 and Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 1 p.m. Registration is required. $45 per student fee.
Celebrate the wonder of winter with Snowflake Bentley by Jacqueline Briggs Martin, on view at the Halle Park Lake StoryWalk from January to March 2025. This Caldecott Medal-winning picture book depicts the true story of Wilson Bentley, a man who dedicated his life to capturing the beauty of snowflakes through his photographs.
