Description of Variance (SLV #2):

Locations:   Location 9 at the State Capitol Overlook, Robert Street North from 12th Street to University Avenue, March 1, 2015

Noise Source:   Become Co/Red Bull Frozen City 2015 Event, represented by Luke Seile, Become Co/Red Bull, Event Producer, has requested a sound level variance in order to use a specialized snowmobile for Sound Level Variance 2 (SLV#2), Location 9 at the State Capitol Overlook, Robert Street North from 12^th Street to University Avenue on Sunday, March 1, 2015, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. The Department of Safety and Inspections (DSI) recommends the following conditions: 1. The SLV #2 Variance, Location 9 shall be for the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on March 1, 2015. 2. All noise coming from the specialized snowmobile used in conjunction with the event shall not exceed 91 dBA as measured at 50 feet from the sound source. 3. The applicant shall provide personnel and equipment to monitor sound level limits as specified in Condition #2. 4. All specialized snowmobile sound shall be turned off no later than 5:00 p.m. for Location 9 on March 1, 2015.
