Event: Saint Paul Winter Carnival Securian Run 2015
Description of Variance:
Location: 6th Street and Jackson Street
Noise Source: Saint Paul Festival and Heritage Foundation has requested a sound level variance to present a radio station announcer and music at 6th Street and Jackson Street for the 2015 Saint Paul Winter Carnival - Securian Run. The variance shall be for the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015. The Department of Safety and Inspections (DSI) recommends the following conditions: 1) The variance shall be for the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015. 2 All electronically powered equipment used in conjunction with the event shall not exceed 85 dBA as measured 50 feet from the sound source. 3) The applicant shall provide personnel and equipment to conduct continuous sound level monitoring during the event. 4) All electronically powered sound equipment, PA systems, loudspeakers or similar devices shall be turned off no later than 12:00 p.m. on the event date.
A public hearing before the City Council on this variance request will be held on:
