Jimmy Lee Fields to be renamed in honor of the late Stacy L. Robinson
Daylong celebration to include: autograph signings by former NFL players, book giveaways, and family friendly activities
WHAT: Jimmy Lee Fields at Oxford Community Center will be renamed in honor of the late Stacy Robinson, during the Stacy’s Light Still Shines Field Dedication and Celebration.
Stacy L. Robinson grew up in inner-city Saint Paul and went on to become a wide receiver for the NY Giants. After his retirement from the NFL, he became the Director of Development for the NFL Player association. On May 8, 2012, at the age of 50, Stacy Robinson succumbed to multiple myeloma, days before he was to help celebrate the re-opening of the Jimmy Lee Rec Center Athletic Fields where he spent his youth and helped raise more than $200,000 for improvements following his retirement from the NFL.
