New locations for Rec Check Extended!

Sign up for Rec Check Extended at North Dale, Hazel Park, or Edgcumbe Recreation Centers. Youth in grades 1-5 will participate in fun activities each day from 8:30am-5pm. Cost is $10/day. Registration required.
- Our free Rec Check program is available at other select locations from Monday-Thursday from 1-4pm. No programming will be available Friday (but Rec Check Extended is available.) Spots are limited so make sure to register.

Shop over Spring Break at the Annual Battle Creek Prom Sale
Looking for your perfect Prom 'fit'? We are hosting a prom shopping event at Battle Creek Recreation Center! All dresses and suits are under $5. Jewelry, shoes and ties also available. The event will take place on the following dates and times:

North End Community Center opens
The newest Saint Paul community center will open for regular hours on Monday, March 31. This 3-floor facility boasts a gymnasium, fitness center, dance studio, teaching kitchen, Teen Room, meeting rooms, courtyard, a community gathering staircase, Kato courts, multi-sport outdoor field, and more!
Located at 145 Lawson Ave. W., St. Paul, 55117 in the North End neighborhood, this facility replaces the previous Rice Recreation Center (which was located down the block in Wellstone Elementary.) The building will be open:
- Monday-Thursday: 9am-9pm
- Friday: 9am-6pm
- Saturday: 10am-6pm
- Sunday: 12-5pm
Stay tuned for more details on a grand opening celebration. Until then, all are welcome to come and visit this new center!

No April Fools! Summer swim lessons are free for Saint Paul youth! Registration opens on April 1 at 9am on a first come, first serve basis!

Deadline approaching for youth summer sports registration--closes March 31
Temperatures are warming up, and spring is well on its way! Summer sports registration is now open and free for ages 9 and up at all recreation center sites. Please note that fees apply for ages 4U, 6U and 8U, but all registered participants for those ages will receive a free glove, courtesy of the Minnesota Twins!
Registration for all summer sports runs through March 31 *or until full.

Como Zoo Attendant
- Help connect visitors to the natural world. Interpret Como's plant and animal collections, provide first aid, deliver public programs, and work events.

- Work at aquatics facilities & golf courses to provide customer service, collect admissions and fees, clean, and assist with facility operations.

- Planting, watering, weeding and care of gardens & landscaped areas, citywide. Operate handheld power equipment and city vehicles.
Lifeguard
- Monitor patrons in water
- Provide and become trained in first aid
- Attend paid trainings
- Teach swim lessons or water aerobics
- Maintain site upkeep

Spring activities and events!
The Loop: Rondo-Frogtown's free ride service connecting Saint Paul youth to after-school activities
Saint Paul Public Library and Saint Paul Parks and Recreation have launched the Rondo-Frogtown Loop (The Loop). The Loop is new initiative that provides youth ages 10-18 free after-school transportation to a variety of Rondo-Frogtown-area recreation centers, libraries, and partner organizations offering free educational, recreational, and culturally responsive programming. Pick-up and drop-off are also available at select housing sites in the Rondo and Frogtown neighborhoods. The 15-passenger Loop van runs between Mondays through Thursdays from 3-8 p.m.

Fish Hatchery Trail reconstruction notice
Saint Paul Parks and Recreation has begun reconstruction of the Fish Hatchery Trail between Battle Creek Regional Park and Warner Road. Construction will begin April 1, 2025 and continue into October 2025 (pending weather). During this time, Fish Hatchery Trail will be closed and a detour signed. Posters will be placed at prominent points along the trail and detour route to publicize the upcoming work and trail closure.

Dock & Paddle Friday Fish Fry Special
