Adoption of Saint Paul Bicycle Plan
On April 24, 2024, the Saint Paul City Council adopted the updated Bicycle Plan. You can watch video of the adoption at the City Council webpage here. This follows a 2.5 year planning process that included two phases of public engagement and two public hearings.
Staff are making final updates to the Bicycle Plan based on the April 24 adoption and will post the document on the city's bike plan webpage soon.
Some exciting parts of the plan include:
- A planned network that moves away from striped bike lanes to spaces that are separated from car traffic
- Opportunities to implement the planned bike network through Common Cent projects, including portions of Como Ave Maryland east of the Lake in Ward 5.
- New and stronger policy language on funding maintenance of our network
Thank you to everyone who reached out with your comments!
