Summer Activities for Kids!

Summer Choice Fair


This Sunday, May 7th from 1 – 3 pm, St Paul Parks & Rec is partnering with Sprockets, the Sanneh Foundation, and Saint Paul Public Schools to put on a Summer Choice Fair!

It’s designed as a one-stop-shop for families looking for activities for their kids (ages 0-18) this summer.  There are 43 organizations with tables in the Conway Dome, plus free pizza and hotdogs.

Check out East Side Neighborhood Development Company’s Friendly Storefronts Program - Grant funding is available for façade improvement projects on a first come basis. 2024 Budget Conversations

The Office of Financial Services in collaboration with the Mayor’s Office, will be hosting 7 community conversations about the 2024 budget held in each of St Paul's 7 wards. Community members interested in participating can register here. Each session is free and open to the public. For the best experience participants are encouraged to bring a smart phone or other web-enabled device. Upcoming sessions include:   

  • Monday, May 8, 6:30 p.m. at Arlington Hills Community Center (1200 Payne Ave.) 
  • Tuesday, May 16, 6:30 p.m. at Rice Recreation Center (1021 Marion St.) 
  • Thursday, May 18, 6:30 p.m. at Merriam Park Library (1831 Marshall Ave.) 
  • Tuesday, May 23, 6:30 p.m. at Highland Park Community Center (1978 Ford Pkwy.)

Flooding Updates

Roads, trails, and parkland along the Mississippi River may be closed due to spring flooding. Please use caution while exploring areas close to the river. Water levels can change quickly. Year Round STAR Grants Available

Ward 6 STAR funding


Do you own a business or run a non-profit in St Paul's 6th Ward? Are you in need of funding for a time-sensitive building repair or improvement?

You may be eligible for a Year-Round STAR Grant from Ward 6. Please email our office at Ward6@stpaul.gov with information on your project and to receive an application.

Applications are subject to approval from the St Paul STAR Board and St Paul City Council. Funding is given as reimbursement for approved expenses, up to $15,000 per project per year.
