Hiring officials, scorekeepers, and gym monitors (and we need volunteer coaches too!)
We are excited to have a record number of registered youth basketball participants this season! With that, we need officials, scorekeepers, gym monitors and coaches to support them! Positions available for as young as 16 years old. This is a great opportunity for adults who want to stay involved with their favorite sport! Watch these testimonials on why others love being a Saint Paul Parks and Recreation coach or official!
Multiple sites around the city are still looking for a coach! Fill out the volunteer form (list in the comments you are interested in basketball) and someone will reach out to you. Or call Municipal Athletics at 651-558-2255 to get connected. No experience is required and is a great resume builder for older teens and college students!

Mississippi River Boulevard Crossing is now open
Mississippi River Boulevard Crossing, the pedestrian path that travels under a new bridge in Mississippi River Boulevard alongside Hidden Falls Creek to a plaza space above the falls, is now open. The creek channel is an extension of the water feature central to the Highland Bridge Project collecting storm water throughout the development site and releasing it at a controlled rate into Hidden Falls. A temporary staircase will be constructed between the existing trail along Mississippi River Boulevard and the new overlook above the falls. Funding is currently being sought for Phase II, which will connect the new plaza space completed in Phase I to the historic stone staircase running between the Mississippi River Boulevard Trail and Hidden Falls Regional Park.
