Public Hearing on the Proposed 2023 Budget - Tues, Sept 20
The Saint Paul City Council invites you to share your thoughts on the proposed 2023 City Budget. Join in the public hearing at the Como Lakeside Pavilion (1360 N Lexington Pkwy), on Tuesday, September 20th at 5:30pm!
This public hearing is an excellent opportunity for you to help shape next year’s budget. During the public hearing, community members will have two minutes each to provide their spoken testimony. You can also share your feedback by emailing Contact-Council@stpaul.gov or calling 651-266-6805.
If you need special assistance or interpreting in a language other than English, please call 651-266-8560 at least 72 hours before the event.
Rent Stabilization Public Hearing - Wed, Sept 21
The public hearing for the Rent Stabilization Ordinance (Ord 22-37) will continue on Wed, Sept 21st at the 3:30pm weekly Council meeting. We encourage you to testify live in person or over the phone. Or if you would like to submit a comment before the meeting, email Contact-Council@stpaul.gov or call 651-266-8506.

Join the St Paul Youth Commission
The Youth Commission is still looking for a few representatives from District 2-Greater Eastside, District 4-Dayton’s Bluff, District 9-West 7th / Fort Road, and District 11-Hamline / Midway. The Saint Paul Youth Commission represents young people in decision making for the City of Saint Paul. Each year, youth in grades 9 – 12 from each of the city’s 17 planning districts commit to serving the community through impact projects as well as local and state advocacy. Youth Commissioners enhance their leadership skills while serving their community. Youth Commissioners earn a stipend for participation.

Inspiring Communities Program Accepting Applications
The City of Saint Paul's seventh Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Inspiring Communities program is live.
This program supports developers to construct homes for sale to homebuyers with low to moderate incomes on residential lots currently owned by the Saint Paul Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA).

Cultural STAR Applications Open
The application is currently open for the next round of Cultural STAR! The program provides funding for projects and programs that attract audiences, develop and improve cultural facilities and build capacity of artists and cultural organizations in Saint Paul.
This round is for projects taking place between January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2023.
Make sure to apply by September 23 at 4 pm. Find more information and the application link at stplaul.gov/cultural-star.
Serve on the Neighborhood Safety Community Council
Apply to serve on the new Neighborhood Safety Community Council (NSCC)!
This 15-member group will work with the Director of the Office of Neighborhood Safety to create a strategic plan, review the effectiveness of initiatives undertaken by ONS, advise staff, and gather input from residents.
The NSCC will meet at least four times per year, with additional meetings taking place as often as necessary, and members will receive a $50 stipend per meeting.

Become a Police Civilian Internal Affairs Review Commissioner
The St Paul Police Civilian Internal Affairs Review Commission is currently seeking commissioners from Wards 6 and 7! There are 4 current vacancies. The next meeting is October 5th at 6pm.
The Police Civilian Internal Affairs Review Commission (PCIARC) reviews and makes disciplinary and policy recommendations to the Saint Paul Chief of Police on all civilian-initiated police conduct complaints.
