Heath and Safety Updates

  • Free COVID-19 testing is now available at Frogtown Community Center.Visit ramseycounty.us/TestingSites to schedule your appointment and find other testing opportunities.
  • Duluth & Case Recreation Center will be open for regular Monday hours starting Feb. 7.
  • Due to a rise in COVID-19 cases and ongoing staffing constraints, open swim at Great River Water Park is temporarily paused on Sundays and Fridays.
  • Masks are required for visitors and employees when inside Parks and Recreation buildings. Masks are available within recreation centers, if needed. Athletes and officials must wear their mask into the building and on the bench but may remove them when in active play on the court. It is strongly recommended that masks be worn while on the court.
  • We ask that spectators during sports games and practices be kept to a minimum.
  • We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we all do our part to keep our community healthy.

Outdoor Activities

Scavenger Hunt: I Spy Evergreens Scavenger Hunt is still in progress, but most locations will have their hidden evergreens removed the week of Feb 7. Crosby Farm Regional Park will keep the small wooden evergreen trees hidden through the first weekend in March.

Sledding Hills: Fifteen sledding hills are located within our parks. Visit our sledding hill page for locations and a list of sledding safety tips.

Como Park Ski Center: The hill at Como Park Ski Center is open for the season. For ticket and rental rates, hours, and other details visit the Como Park Ski Center webpage.

Cross Country Ski Trails: Groomed cross country ski trails are available at the Como Golf Course, Highland 9 Golf Course, and Phalen Golf Course. It is free to cross country ski with your own equipment on Saint Paul Parks and Recreation ski trails and no pass is required. Trails are open as long as conditions allow.

Ice Rinks: All ice rinks are now open. Rink hours and conditions are subject to change without notice. Rinks will remain open for as long as weather and rink conditions allow.  Please do not skate during flooding, rink maintenance or other times when the rinks are closed. Visit the ice rink webpage for updates.

Volunteer at an Ice Rink: The best rinks are those that benefit from the assistance of community volunteers. Volunteers are needed to help with rink flooding, snow removal and other duties.
