Youth Spring Volleyball and Futsal

Spring registration for youth volleyball and futsal runs January 1-31. Volleyball is open to ages 9-18 and futsal (indoor soccer) is open to ages 3-14. Visit stpaul.gov/YouthSports for more details and to register.

Fitness Center Memberships

Looking for an affordable way to meet your 2022 fitness goals? Memberships to our fitness centers cost just $30 for the entire year and give Saint Paul residents access to all thirteen locations. Memberships can be purchased in person at any fitness center location. Learn more at stpaul.gov/FitnessCenters.

Outdoor Activity Updates

Sledding Hills: Fifteen sledding hills are located within our parks. Visit our sledding hill page for locations and a list of sledding safety tips.

Como Park Ski Center: The hill at Como Park Ski Center is open for the season. For ticket and rental rates, hours, and other details visit the Como Park Ski Center webpage.

Cross Country Ski Trails: Groomed cross country ski trails are available at the Como Golf Course, Highland 9 Golf Course, and Phalen Golf Course. It is free to cross country ski with your own equipment on Saint Paul Parks and Recreation ski trails and no pass is required. Trails are open as long as conditions allow. 

Ice Rinks: All ice rinks are now open. Rink hours and conditions are subject to change without notice. Rinks will remain open for as long as weather and rink conditions allow.  Please do not skate during flooding, rink maintenance or other times when the rinks are closed. Visit the ice rink webpage for updates.

Ice Skating Lessons: Ice skating lesson registration is open for all ages and experience levels.

Volunteer at an Ice Rink: The best rinks are those that benefit from the assistance of community volunteers. Volunteers are needed to help with rink flooding, snow removal and other duties.

I Spy Evergreens: A Scavenger Hunt 

Adventure through our parks to find the hidden evergreen trees! When you find an evergreen, share a selfie using #stpevergreenhunt - without giving away the location! Enjoy the outdoors and explore Saint Paul parks with this family-friendly, socially-distant, self-led activity: I Spy Evergreens: A Scavenger Hunt

Winter Swimming Lessons

Registration for winter swimming lessons at Great River Water Park is now open. Each session has (8) 50-minute classes. Cost is $70/session. 

  • Session 2: February | Tuesdays & Thursdays | Ages 7 & under
  • Weekend Session: January & February | Saturdays | All ages

Adaptive Recreation Programs

Registration is open for January and February Adaptive Recreation programs. Upcoming activities include bowling, a camping trip to Brainard, holiday crafts, bingo, Zumba and more. Call the Adaptive Recreation office at 651-793-6561 or 651-793-6634 to register or visit stpaul.gov/AdaptiveRec for more info.
