Winter & Spring Activity Registration Opens Monday, Dec. 6

Winter and spring activity registration opens on Monday, Dec. 6. Activities are now available to browse online.

Park Permit Lottery

Planning to hold a birthday party, family reunion, or other get together at a park in 2022? Saint Paul residents can enter our online permit lottery from now until through Dec. 20. Visit stpaul.gov/parkpermits for more details.

Winter Swimming Lessons

Registration for winter swimming lessons at Great River Water Park is now open. Each session has (8) 50-minute classes. Cost is $70/session. 

  • Session 1: January | Tuesday & Thursday mornings | Ages 7 & under 
  • Session 2: February | Tuesday & Thursday mornings | Ages 7 & under
  • Weekend Session: January & February | Saturdays | All ages

Winter Holiday Parties & Events

The holiday event season is here! Find upcoming events including Santa Paws, Magical Holiday Stroll, Santa's Workshop, Winter Beach Party and more on our holiday parties and events calendar. Events are free unless otherwise noted. Some events require advance registration. 

Ski & Snowboard Lesson Registration & Equipment Fittings

Online registration for downhill skiing, x-country skiing and snowboarding lessons and clinics is now open. The chalet will be open for equipment fittings and in-person lesson registration on Dec. 11-12 & 17-18. Advance equipment fittings are strongly encouraged for lesson participants.  For ticket and rental rates, hours, and other details visit the Como Park Ski Center webpage.

Holiday Reminders

  • All recreation centers will be closed Dec. 24, 25, 31 and Jan. 1.  Please see our Holiday Hours page for more details. 
  • Como Park Zoo & Conservatory is open 365 days a year. Reservations are required.
