Winter Holiday Parties & Events

Save the dates for our holiday parties and events, including Dinner with Santa Winter Wonderland, and Santa's Workshop. Events are free unless otherwise noted. Some events require advance registration.

Youth Vaccine Clinic at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory

Como Park Zoo & Conservatory is hosting a vaccine clinic for youth ages 5-11 this Sunday, November 21. Schedule an appointment online.

Construction Updates

  • Phalen Regional Park: Construction of the transportation improvements at the north end of Lake Phalen, including the new boat launch, are complete. Learn more.
  • Mississippi River Boulevard/Hidden Falls Regional Park: Mississippi River Blvd., between Ford Pkwy. & Magoffin Ave., has reopened to bicyclists, pedestrians and vehicles. This portion of the road & trail closed in May for construction of the Mississippi River Boulevard Crossing project at Highland Bridge. Learn more.

Holiday Reminders

  • All recreation centers will be closed on November 25 and December 24 & 25. Some recreation centers will be closed or have special hours on November 26. Please see our Holiday Hours page for more details. 
  • Como Park Zoo & Conservatory is open 365 days a year. Reservations are required.

Ski & Snowboard Lesson Registration 

Registration for downhill skiing, x-country skiing and snowboarding lessons and clinics opens Monday, November 8. The hill will open for early season hours on December 11, weather and snow conditions permitting. For ticket and rental rates, hours, and other details visit the Como Park Ski Center webpage. 

RBI Winter Baseball Clinics

The Twins RBI Winter Baseball Clinic provides players an opportunity to continue developing their skills in the off-season. Register online: 

Adaptive Recreation Programs

Registration is open for winter Adaptive Recreation programs. Upcoming activities include bowling, archery, floor hockey, holiday crafts, bingo, yoga and more. Call the Adaptive Recreation office at 651-793-6561 or 651-793-6634 to register or visit stpaul.gov/AdaptiveRec for more info.

Express Fitness

Express Fitness classes are available at select Saint Paul recreation centers. Classes are just $4/person and no registration is necessary. Current classes include Zumba, yoga and WERQ Dance Fitness. All classes are one hour long.

Rec Check After School Program

Space is still available in our free Rec Check after school program. Rec Check provides a variety of structured, supervised recreation activities for youth in grades 1-5 who live or attend school in Saint Paul. Programs are also available on days when SPPS is not in session.

Fall Aquatics Programs

Visit the Great River Water Park website for fall open swim, lap swim and water aerobics hours as well as new, discounted morning and twilight rates on select days. One-month and three-month memberships are available for purchase online and registration for fall swimming lessons is open. 

  • $70 /1 full session/8 lessons
  • $35/1 mini session/4 lessons
