Citywide Drop Off Event at the Fairgrounds

City-wide Drop-Off Event


Dispose of items for a small fee at the Citywide Drop-Off Event this Saturday, September 18 at Minnesota State Fairgrounds from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Use the entrance on Larpenteur Avenue (eastbound). Visit the website to see a list of accepted items.

Want to support the event and get free drop-off? The District 10 Community Council is still looking for volunteers to help us run the Drop-Off event, especially for the later shift. There are two volunteer shifts (7:30 a.m.-11 a.m. & 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m.). Volunteers get a voucher for a free drop-off, as well as bagels or box lunches.

Mark your calendars for next weekend's Solidarity Street Gallery on Payne Ave. Native voices will take the lead in curating and staging art exhibits, performance programs and a board range of community activities. The event will also include a trade-fair-like eco-exhibit, focused on preservation of traditional lands and practices; protection of sacred sites; and a ‘Just Transition’ to responsible environmental stewardship and ecologically sustainable economies.

Docket Immunization Record App

The Minnesota Department of Health announced a new mobile app that gives Minnesotans access to their immunization record faster. Minnesotans can now easily access their immunization record through their smartphones or other mobile devices by using an app called Docket. Docket enables residents with a Minnesota Immunization Information Connection (MIIC) record to securely view and share their immunization records, even if they were given by different health care providers in Minnesota.


How to Get Tested for COVID-19

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) announced two new semi-permanent COVID-19 community testing sites in Saint Paul and Bloomington.

The Saint Paul testing site is located in Roy Wilkins Auditorium, 175 West Kellogg Blvd. Testing at the Saint Paul site will occur Monday – Thursday, from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The Bloomington testing site is located at 9930 Logan Ave. S (former DMV). Testing at the Bloomington site will occur Monday – Friday, from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Testing is free at all of the state's community testing sites. Appointments can be made through the Vault Health registration site. Walk-ins are also accepted.

You can also order a test through the state’s no-cost at-home COVID-19 testing program.

Find a testing option near you through the state’s Find Testing Locations map. Walk-in or schedule an appointment for a test at one of the state’s no-cost community testing sites across Minnesota.
