Free Eye Exams & Corrective Eye Wear for Youth

Youth can receive a free eye screening and if needed, a free eye-exam and corrective eye wear through a partnership with Von's Vision Foundation and the Sanneh Foundation on Saturday, September 11 from 10am-3pm at Conway Community Center. Pre-registration is recommended, but not required.

Wheel Fun Mini-Golf & Watercraft Rentals

Wheel Fun Rentals offers safe, outdoor recreation in Como Regional Park. Whether you rent a pedal boat, kayak, canoe, or stand-up paddleboard or enjoy a competitive round of mini-golf, Wheel Fun Rentals makes customer safety and health a top priority and continues to promote a safe environment for all.

School-Year Youth Programs

Registration is now open for school-year Recreation for Preschoolers, S'more Fun, and Rec Check programs. Activities include arts and crafts, community building games, quiet time, homework help and more.

Youth Winter Basketball Registration  Now Open Through September 30

Youth winter basketball registration is open  now through September 30. Visit stpaul.gov/YouthSports to register online or call your local recreation center

September Aquatics Updates

  • Registration for fall swimming lessons is now open at Great River Water Park.
  • Highland Park Aquatic Center will offer late-season hours from September 7-12, weather depending. Visit stpaul.gov/HPAC for late-season open swim, lap swim, water aerobics, and tot time schedules. Due to late season lifeguard shortages, daily scheduled and amenities may fluctuate to ensure we remain in compliance with pool safety requirements. 
  • Phalen Beach is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm-7pm through September 26, weather depending. 
  • Great River Water Park will reopen on Monday, September 13. Visit stpaul.gov/GRWP for fall open swim, lap swim, water aerobics, and tot time schedules. 
  • Como Regional Park Pool is now closed for the season.

September Fitness in the Park Schedule

Fitness in the Parks will continue with a limited schedule throughout September, weather permitting. View the schedule to see which classes will be continuing. The schedule will be adjusted throughout the month so keep checking back for updates. Follow Fitness in the Parks on Facebook for other announcements and weather cancellations.
