Lake Phalen Community Rowing Donates Public Floating Dock

A big thank you to Lake Phalen Community Rowing -- a Minnesota nonprofit organization that provides free instruction to youth -- who have agreed to pay for the purchase of a $20,000 floating dock to be installed at Lake Phalen! 

The donated dock will be placed at the Lake Phalen public boat launch for use by nonprofit organizations and the public at large.

St Paul is participating in the Zero Balance Project, a COVID Emergency Rent Assistance program that assists renters and landlords, in partnership with other Metro jurisdictions. In the Zero Balance Project landlords apply directly on behalf of their renters. Applications are now being accepted! Please spread the word and apply!

Yarn Garden on the White Bear Ave Bridge

Feeling crafty? The Greater East Side Community Council (District 2) is looking for Knitters, Crocheters and Crafters to help create a "yarn garden" on the White Bear Ave bridge!

Be part of this community art installation by knitting or crocheting flowers, donating supplies (yarn, zip ties), or helping to install the flowers on the bridge fencing (the last week of August, just before school starts).

Patterns are available for knitters, crocheters and those with no experience doing either.

Completed flowers or supply donations can be dropped off at the Greater East Side Community Council office at 1365 Prosperity.
