Highland National Golf Course Reopens

Highland National Golf Course and the Highland driving range are now open for the season. Tee times must be reserved online. All golfers will be expected to follow public health guidelines, including keeping a 6ft distance from golfers who are not in your party and wearing a mask inside the clubhouse and whenever keeping a distance is not possible.

New Pickleball Map

Outdoor pickleball courts are now open for season, and indoor pickleball courts are available by reservation. All players must select an online time slot for indoor play. Outdoor courts are available on first come, first served basis. Find a court near you on our interactive pickleball map

Spring Events

Spring is upon us! Celebrate at these upcoming events: 

Free lifeguard training. Must meet course requirements, be Right Track eligible, live in St. Paul, and be age 15-21.  Click image to apply.

Updates and Reminders

  • Outdoor courts and skate parks have reopened for the season. Use our amenities map to find an outdoor court near you. 
  • Adult fitness classes have returned to some recreation center locations. Public health guidelines will be in place.
  • Virtual gardening classes are available through Ramsey Country Master Gardeners and new spring topics have been added. 
  • Youth summer sports registration for t-ball, machine pitch, baseball, softball and lacrosse runs through March 31. In partnership with the Minnesota Twins, many levels are offered free of charge. 
  • Great River Water Park is open.  Swimming lesson and lifeguard training registrations can be made online, along with reservations for open swim, lap swim, and water aerobics. Public health guidelines will be in place and spaces are limited.

  • Space is still available at select sites for youth programs including Rec Check, S'more Fun, Recreation for Preschoolers, and no-school day programs
  • Reservations are now being accepted for open gym, tot times and pickleball at select recreation centers. Reservations must be made in advance and public health guidelines, including face coverings and physical distancing, will be in place. 
  • Adult summer softball registration is now open for new and returning teams. 
  • Rice and Arlington batting cages have reopened. Reservations must be made in advance and public health guidelines will be in place.  
  • Fitness centers and walking tracks have reopened. Reservations must be made in advance and public health guidelines will be in place.  
  • Como Park Zoo & Conservatory is open. Reservations must be made in advance and public health guidelines will be in place. 
  • Adaptive Recreation registration for March and April programming is now open. Call 651-793-6561 or 651-793-6634 or visit stpaul.gov/AdaptiveRec for full details, registration information and public health guidelines.

  • Free meals are available for Saint Paul families in need. 
  • Spring is in the air and our ice rinks are now officially closed for the season. We know it's tempting, but we ask that people and pets stay out of the rink areas until the ground has thawed and hockey boards have been removed. Please visit one of our four dog parks for off-leash fun. 

  • As the ground begins to thaw, please be mindful to stay on sidewalks and bike paths as much as possible so plants can emerge and our turf has a chance to recover from winter. 

Spring Break Youth Programs

Spring break at Saint Paul Public Schools is April 5-9. Registration for full and half day spring break programs is now open. Programs are open to grades 1-5. Half day programs are free and full day programs are $30. Public health guidelines will be in place.

Half Day Program

1pm – 4pm | Free | Grades 1-5 | Snack provided
