Beginning in August the Ward 5 team has a new line up! Our longtime Legislative Aide, Kim O’Brien, has spread her wings and headed off to new adventures; we wish her the very best!

My Executive Assistant, Donna Sanders, and I now welcome Hwa Jeong Kim, a North End / Ward 5 resident as our new Legislative Aide. Hwa Jeong is a housing professional who comes to us by the way of the Saint Paul Planning Commission and her neighborhood council. We also welcome Meegan Hall, a Como Park / Ward 5 resident and communications professional, who supports the team on a part-time basis.

Expect continued excellence in constituent service, strong advocacy for Ward 5 and positive leadership for Saint Paul. Call us at 651-266-8650 or email Ward5@stpaul.gov with your questions, ideas, comments and concerns.

Lead, learn & Grow

The Wilder Foundation is recruiting applicants to it's Neighborhood Leadership Program. Applicants must be 16 and older, live, work, or volunteer in St. Paul or the East Metro, and demonstrate interest and/.or involvement in contributing to their local community or neighborhood. People of diverse gender, geography, age, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.  The application deadline is August 24. Click here to learn more

Is there a future community leader in your community? Wilder's Youth Leadership Initiative is a leadership program for teens grades 9-12. Click here to learn more for details

national Night out

Over 400 National Night Out events took place across St. Paul. What a great show of engagement and dedication to making our communities stronger!  We were able to attend 10 events on August 7th and truly enjoyed connecting with neighbors. What are you celebrating about NNO and your neighborhood?  We'd love to hear from you.
