Description of Variance:

Locations:   924 Hague Avenue

Noise Source:   Brock Obee has requested a sound level variance, at a requested sound level limit of 100-110 dBA at no specified distance in order to present live, amplified music, with speakers from 7:00 p.m. until midnight, with a pre-event sound check at 6:30 p.m., and live band music to end at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 924 Hague Avenue. The Department of Safety and Inspections recommends the following conditions: 1) The variance shall be for live, amplified music, with speakers, for the hours from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with a pre-event sound check at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018. 2) All electronically powered equipment, PA systems, loudspeakers or similar devices used in conjunction with the event must not exceed 85 dBA at 50 feet from the noise source. 3) The applicant shall provide personnel and equipment who will provide sound level monitoring to ensure compliance with the sound level variance conditions. 4) All electronically powered equipment, PA systems, loudspeakers or similar devices shall be turned off no later than 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018.
