Join us this weekend 10am – 4pm as we wrap-up the Summer with fun, games, & crafts all while celebrating our feline friends!
If you’re captivated by Como Zoo’s large cats, don’t miss this weekend’s “Cool Cat Conservation” weekend, presented by Xcel Energy. With special activities, education programming, and zookeeper talks focused on lions, tigers and snow leopards, you’ll learn all about the world’s fabulous felines. Explore the newly renovated Cat Building and see, touch and have fun with the new interactive elements. With fall weather on the way, our friends at Xcel Energy will also be on hand to show visitors how to lower their energy bills.
Sunday, October 1 also marks the last day of our Summer Hours, the Summer Flower Show, and the Giraffe Feeding Station. Beginning Monday, October 2 Como Park Zoo & Conservatory will be open 10am – 4pm every day through March 31, 2018.
Don’t let the last gasp of Summer slip-by without one more visit to the 2017 Summer Flower Show. The Sunken Garden will close at the end of the day on Sunday and reopen on Saturday, October 7 for Part One of the 2017 Fall Flower Show featuring, for the first time in many years, black chrysanthemums.
While the Giraffe Feeding Station will also close for the season after Sunday, on Monday we introduce a new, daily Snow Leopard Conservation Conversation. Como’s new Snow Leopards will take center stage as the Animal Ambassadors and guests will learn about the magnificent, reclusive and crepuscular endangered cats that live in the shadows of mountain ranges from Afghanistan to China to Mongolia.
