City of St. Paul sent this bulletin at 04/19/2017 08:17 PM CDTHello Eastview neighbors,
Please join us for the next Community Gathering on Wednesday April 26, from 6 - 7:30 pm at the Eastview Recreation Center.
We can officially welcome Saint Paul Urban Tennis, maybe discuss some of the traffic issues resulting from the construction on White Bear Avenue or anything else that people want to connect with neighbors in person.
Thank you for being a part of our community!
Here's a reminder about these upcoming exciting community events at Eastview:
June 8 - Safe Summer Nights cookout and fun for the whole family, complete with a delicious barbecue, bounce house, climbing wall, visits from the Police K-9 and Mounted Horse Patrol Units, etc., put on by the Saint Paul Police Department
July 28 - Saint Paul Urban Tennis Summer Picnic, Eastview community is invited to join SPUT students, families and staff
August 1 – National Night Out. More details to come, so stay tuned.
Please plan to join your neighbors for the May Eastview Community Gathering on May 24, 6 pm!
As you may have heard, the Saint Paul City Council gave final approval to the contract between Parks and Recreation and Saint Paul Urban Tennis, making it official that Eastview is the new home of SPUT. There were several news articles highlighting this new partnership, see links below.
About Saint Paul Urban Tennis:
SPUT is a nationally awarded tennis and learning program that serves school-aged children with tennis and SPUT SPIRIT instruction at over thirty sites, a literacy program aimed at combatting the summer slide, extended day learning with partner schools, and a leadership development program focusing on job readiness. Our vision is that children and families of diverse backgrounds will unite around a shared enjoyment of accessible and high quality tennis programs, that positive activity in the parks will deter crime, and that participants will become leaders of good health and moral character as they graduate high school and realize career aspirations.
