Celebrate winter with friends and family at these fun outdoor parties
and special events! Please dress for the weather. Skating and other
outdoor activities will be weather dependent. In the event of warm weather or rain, alternative activities may be offered or events may be cancelled. See our severe weather policy for winter weather cancellation guidelines. Please contact the event host for more information.
 January 26 - February 5
Saint Paul Winter Carnival
Rice Park, 109 W 4th St., Saint Paul, MN 55102
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and Rice Park has the
events to prove it during the entire Winter Carnival. View the holiday
lights and ice sculptures, sit in the Royal Throne made of ice, check
out vendor booths, watch live entertainment, grab a drink at the ice bar

6pm-8pm - Frosty Night
Hazel Park Recreation Center, 945 N. Hazel Ave. Saint Paul, MN 55119
Bring the family to Frosty Night! Activities include snowman
building, snow angels, and ice skating. Hot cocoa will be provided.
Please wear warm winter clothing and bring your own skates. Free and

Join us for a fun neighborhood winter celebration featuring free hot
chocolate, ice skating, games, treats, and music. Limited free skate
rental will be available. Activities include decorate a puck, puck shot
contest, kids skate races, and a dance party. Free and open to all. For

Red Bull Crashed Ice

Red Bull Crashed Ice returns to Saint Paul for the sixth straight year! Come witness the high-speed action that features skaters competing in
four-person heats in a race to the bottom of a long ice track filled with
obstacles. Free and open to all.

Come enjoy the ice rink and warm up around the bonfire while sipping

This fun family event is full of outdoor activities for
all ages to enjoy! Bring your own sleds and ice skates. A limited number
of cross country skis, snowshoes, and ice skates will be available for

Ice Rinks Currently Closed Due to Weather
Due to recent warm weather and rain, ice rinks are currently closed, with the exception of the WinterSkate rink. The refrigerated rinks at Phalen, Palace, and North Dale recreation centers may be open for night skating. Please check our Ice Rinks page for updates or call the recreation center for the most up-to-date information.
Hayden Heights Family Skating Party
The Winter Skating Party schedule for tonight (Jan. 20) at Hayden Heights Recreation Center will still happen as scheduled. Since skating will be unavailable, activities will now include additional gym games.
