Dear colleagues,
In November, we launched phase one of Library Go — a partnership between Saint Paul Public Library (SPPL) and Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) that provides instant access to the library’s resources for more than 16,000 secondary students. Three-month key indicators reveal notable success:
- All 40,613
student patron records have now been imported into the library's database ahead of next month's launch
- 540
SPPS staff members have registered for a special e-access cards
- 4,248
e-books have been checked out by students and SPPS staff
- 3,344
physical items have been checked out by students
- 30,000
visits to LibraryGo.org (making it one of the most popular landing pages
on the library's website)
- SPPL
and SPPS librarians will lead 27 professional development sessions for
SPPS elementary school teachers throughout January and February
I am pleased to announce that on February 8, Library Go will officially launch for all SPPS students, including those at the elementary-school level. Please join us for a celebration of this expanded service and recognition of those people who helped make Library Go possible.
