Mayor Coleman to kick off Twin Cities Jazz Festival, introduce headliners

SAINT PAUL – Mayor Chris Coleman will welcome musicians to the stage at this year’s Twin Cities Jazz Festival in celebration of the Year of Music in Saint Paul. The Mayor will introduce Delfeayo Marsalis on the Mears Park Stage on Thursday, Ellis Marsalis on the Mears Park Stage on Friday and Michael Franti & Spearhead on the Securian Stage at Kellogg Park on Saturday.

  • Thursday, June 23, 6:00 p.m. – Mayor to introduce Delfeayo Marsalis on the AARP Mears Park Stage
  • Friday, June 24, 8:30 p.m. – Mayor to introduce Ellis Marsalis on the AARP Mears Park Stage
  • Saturday, June 28, 7:30 p.m. – Mayor to introduce Michael Franti & Spearhead on the Securian Stage at Kellogg Park

Year of Music in the City of Saint Paul

To celebrate and amplify the city’s music scene and its impact on economic development and cultural vibrancy, Mayor Chris Coleman declared 2016 the Year of Music in Saint Paul. From venues, to artists, to their supporters, Saint Paul will spend 2016 highlighting the people and performances that make up its music community.
