(March 8, 2016) SAINT PAUL – The recently-renovated George Latimer Central Library, 90 W 4th St, Saint Paul, will celebrate the grand opening of its Nicholson Workforce and Innovation Center Lab with demonstrations of all the new equipment on Saturday, March 12, from 3-4:30 p.m.
The general public is invited to sign up to get a hands-on tour of the first adult maker space in the library system, which includes a DSLR camera and laptops with Adobe Creative Cloud software available to check out, a 3D printer and laser engraver, digitization equipment, and a computerized sewing machine.
The Nicholson Workforce and Innovation Center also houses a recording studio four-person editing suite and two isolation booths with iMac, GarageBand, Avid Protools 12.3, headphones, microphones, audio interface, and instrumental software.
