Environmental Assessment Worksheet Released for 844 Fairmount
SAINT PAUL – Notice of an environmental assessment worksheet (EAW) for a proposed partial demolition of a single-family home located at 844 Fairmount Ave. in Saint Paul was published by the Environmental Quality Board on Monday, August 31, 2015. A thirty (30) day comment period will conclude on September 30, 2015. The City of Saint Paul is the RGU (responsible governmental unit). The purpose of the EAW is to identify any potential impacts of the project, and is required because the property is considered to be contributing to the State and National Historic Hill Districts.
The proposed project includes removal of two dormers and surrounding roof areas, as well as a small portion of an exterior wall on the second-level. Associated re-construction will include two new, larger dormers, extension of a bay to the third floor, and addition of a roof-top deck.
A copy of the EAW is available upon request at the Department of Planning and Economic Development on the 13th floor of the City Hall Annex at 25 W. Fourth Street, Saint Paul, MN 55102 or online at the City’s website through the following link: bit.ly/844FairmountEAW
Comments on the adequacy of the EAW in identifying the potential impacts of the project can be emailed to josh.williams@ci.stpaul.mn.us. Please include “844 Fairmount EAW” in the subject line of all emails. Comments may also be sent by US mail to Josh Williams, City of Saint Paul – PED, 25 W. Fourth Street, Suite 1300, Saint Paul, MN 55102.
Questions about the EAW may be directed to Josh Williams at 651-266-6659 or josh.williams@ci.stpaul.mn.us
