Description of Variance:

Location: Summit Avenue and Selby Avenue

Noise Source: Lululemon Athletica has requested a sound level variance in order to use an amplifier and speakers to project sound along a race course at a Run: Twin K 2015 Event on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Summit Avenue and Selby Avenue. The variance is requested for the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015. The Department of Safety and Inspections will be recommending the following conditions: 1) The variance shall be for the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Summit Avenue and Selby Avenue for the Event on Saturday, September 19, 2015.   2) All electronically powered equipment used in conjunction with the event shall not exceed 85 dBA as measured 50 feet from any sound source used for amplification and/or speakers. 3) The applicant shall provide personnel and equipment to ensure compliance with the sound level variance conditions. 4) All electronically powered equipment, PA systems, loudspeakers or similar devices shall be turned off no later than 12:00 p.m. at Summit Avenue and Selby Avenue on the date of the event.
