Building Fire

On May 21, 2026, at approximately 10:29 P.M., the Stearns County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a building fire at the address of 37264 County Road 13 in Grove Township. Deputies arrived on scene and observed large amount of smoke coming from the top of the building. Melrose Police Department, Melrose Fire Department along with the Freeport Fire Department responded to the address. The fire departments assessed the smoke conditions in the roof area and used minimal amounts of water to extinguish the smoldering fire and prevent any further damage. No severe damage was done to the building, and no one was injured.
