Stearns County has a new park

The Stearns County Parks Department is happy to announce that Stearns County is the official owner of 249 acres located just south of the City of Cold Spring.

The Parks Department is currently working on a management plan for the property and will host a public input session later this summer to gather feedback.

In the meantime, our new park needs a name! Most Stearns County Parks are named after a nearby water feature or town.

The Park Commission has narrowed the list down to three names:

  1. Chain of Lakes County Park
  2. Chain of Lakes County Park and Conservation Area
  3. Kinzer Creek Conservation Area
