Single-Vehicle Crash

On February 6, 2024, at 12:56 p.m., the Stearns County Emergency Communications Center received a call of a single vehicle crash with injuries near the address of 30217 Co Rd 50 in Collegeville Township. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office, Avon Fire Department, and Mayo Ambulance responded to the crash.

The driver was identified as Kathleen Cvancara, 72, of Cold Spring. Cvancara was driving a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Northbound on Co Rd 50 when the vehicle left the roadway on a curve. The vehicle struck a utility pole, causing the airbags to deploy. Cvancara was transported by Mayo Ambulance for treatment. She was wearing her seatbelt.
