Single-Vehicle Crash

On January 19, 2024, at approximately 5:31 a.m., the Stearns County Sheriff's Office Emergency Communications Center received a call reporting a crash with injuries near the intersection of County Road 2 and County Road 165 in Luxemburg Township. A 2012 Ford Fiesta driven by Bret Mikaela Gilmour, 20, of Fargo, left the roadway and hit a power pole as well as a road approach causing the vehicle to go airborne. The driver was wearing her seatbelt and was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital for minor injuries. During the investigation, it was found that the driver fell asleep prior to leaving the roadway.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Cold Spring/Richmond Police Department, Cold Spring Fire and Rescue, and Watkins Ambulance.
