Great River Greening

Join Great River Greening at Quarry Park to girdle aspen trees. This management technique involves cutting through the outer bark in a ring in order to prevent further growth, without the use of herbicide. The aspen trees are encroaching onto the wet prairie areas in the park, which is adjacent to the large-scale buckthorn removal happening in the oak woodland. Register here!
