Motorcycle Crash with Injuries

Avon man hits deer while riding his motorcycle.

On July 20, 2020 at 8:24 p.m., Stearns County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the intersection of Pelican Lake Road and 360^th Street in Avon Township for a motorcycle versus deer crash.

Brad Becker, 61, of Avon, was driving his 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on Pelican Lake Road when he struck a deer in the roadway. Mr. Becker was able to call 911 to report the crash.

Mayo Ambulance transported Mr. Becker to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

He was not wearing a helmet.

Avon Police Department and Avon Fire Department assisted.
