On April 19, 2019 at 3:30 p.m., the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a report of male pinned between two pieces of farm implement at the 34000 block of 260th Street in Lake Henry Township.

According to Sheriff Steve Soyka, Ryan Klassen, 31 of Belgrade found James Logan, 42, of Belgrade, pinned between a backhoe bucket and a utility trailer. Logan was unresponsive and lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful. Logan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by Stearns County Sheriff’s Office and Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Lake Henry Fire and Rescue, Paynesville Ambulance and Life Link helicopter.
