We are excited to kick off our new fiscal year on July 1, 2024! On June 4, the Town Council approved a $166.9 million consolidated budget for fiscal year 2025, marking our commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. The fiscal year, representing our new budget year, will run through June 30, 2025. We are eager to see the positive impact of these investments in our community.
Meet Derrick Coaxum, Director of Facilities Management
As our new Director of Facilities Management, Derrick will oversee and manage Town properties, facilities, parks, beaches, public services, and more. Derrick comes to us with over 25 years of experience, including an extensive tenure with the Town of Hilton Head Island, where he began working as a Facilities Technician in 1999 and rose to Assistant Facilities Manager 10 years later. We are excited to have Derrick back on our team.
The Town of Hilton Head Island Administrative Offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4, in honor of Independence Day and will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, July 5.
The Beaufort County Convenience Center at 26 Summit Drive will also be closed on Thursday, July 4, and will return to its regular schedule on Friday, July 5. Throughout the holiday, Town emergency services will remain fully operational.

Heading to Coligny Beach this weekend? Here's where you can park
We encourage Coligny Beach visitors to use the parking lot at the USCB Campus on Sand Shark Drive (off Pope Avenue) during weekends and holidays. Take advantage of the FREE beach shuttle provided by Palmetto Breeze. It runs every 15 minutes to transport you, your family, and your belongings to Coligny Beach.

Party in the Park + Maker’s Fair
Enjoy our beautiful Lowcountry Celebration Park with the Party in the Park and Maker's Fair. Town Staff will be there each week promoting Town initiatives and hosting fun activities. This weekly event features live music, bounce houses, and unique handmade art pieces. Stop by our table to say hello!
