Capital Improvements for Our Parks
This February and March staff has been working on drafting the Capital Improvements Program (CIP) for next fiscal year (FY22), July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022.
The CIP includes a list of proposed prioritized projects for improvements the Town will initiate in FY22 for pathways, roadways, parks, existing and new facilities, and beach maintenance.
The approval process involves the Planning Commission's CIP Committee, Planning Commission, and Town Council to prioritize and finalize projects that will be funded.
To date, the CIP Committee of Planning Commission met in February and again March to review the proposed list of priority projects. The Parks and Recreation Commission met on March 3 to review and comment on the park specific proposed improvements.
The CIP Committee and Planning Commission meetings this month and in April will continue the CIP review. The CIP will be taken up by Town Council through the annual budget process.
