Virtual Town Hall Meetings
Tomorrow (Oct. 28) from 2:00pm to 3:00pm we will be hosting the third and final virtual Town Hall meeting. Use this link to register and participate in the live polling during the meeting. You can also watch the meeting on the Town's Public Meeting Facebook page.
Coming Up
Open Park Days
Coming up in November, we hope to see you out at one of our Open Park Days! Stop by Jarvis Creek Park on November 5 between 1pm and 5pm or Shelter Cove Community Park on November 12 from 10am to 2pm to chat with staff and see what's happening with Parks + Recreation. We will have comment cards, maps, and dot voting to get your input on the recommendations and actions for our parks and recreation. Social distancing will be enforced.
Our Plan Adopted!
On October 20 Town Council adopted Our Plan, the Town's 2020-2040 Comprehensive Plan. The Parks + Recreation section in Our Plan is foundational to everything we will be doing in parks and recreation for the Island community over the next several years. Thank you everyone who has worked with us to make Our Plan a document that is truly representative of the Island community.

Three Ways to Participate
All three types of opportunity to participate will cover similar information and gather input from you. Join the conversation for one or all of them!
1. Parks + Recreation Survey
We are hosting an Open Town Hall survey with questions about your preferences for our parks and recreation system based on the Recommendations and Actions Items in Our Plan. There are also questions about facility and amenity programming for the three parks.
2. Virtual Town Hall Meetings
Staff is presenting updates and information about the parks projects in virtual Town Hall style meetings with live polling and Q&A. Please register to attend using the link listed above in the Calendar of Events column. We have one more meeting happening this Wednesday, October 28 at 2:00pm.
3. Open Park Days
Meet us outside to talk about your ideas for our parks at one of our Open Park Days. Staff will be set up with maps and comment cards to hear from you. Social distancing will be enforced.
