New Office Technology Improves Lobby Experience at County's Bluffton Office Building
If you plan to visit Beaufort County offices at
the Myrtle Park office building in Bluffton just after the New Year, you’re in
for a new experience – one that has been called “pleasantly innovative” by
residents who have visited within the past two weeks.
When residents step off of the elevator on the
third floor of the Myrtle Park office building, they will encounter an
interactive kiosk, followed by LED television screens, all part of the new ACF Technologies
Q-Flow Software Solution, a lobby management system installed on Dec. 15.
According
to the ACF Technologies website, the new lobby management software provides a
quick and simple check-in process along with multi-media options to keep
customers relaxed during their wait and well-informed of their place in line.
“The
launch of this innovative technology is one portion of our County-wide plan to
provide quality core services efficiently, said County Administrator Gary
Kubic. “We are excited to deliver a more
satisfying experience to our residents.”
The
Q-Flow software includes a ticket printer, LED television displays, and a
self-serve pedestal kiosk that features a 19-inch touch screen and a barcode
scanner.
The
system serves residents visiting the Assessor, Auditor, Building
Codes, Business
License, and Treasurer offices.
“The County’s one-stop-shop in Bluffton has
launched and the Q-flow software’s installation has gone smoothly,” said Dan
Morgan, Beaufort County’s Mapping and Applications Director and Q-flow Software
Project Manager. “This software gives our staff the ability to seamlessly manage
the check-in and check-out process for our residents. The opportunity for
individuals to have a seat and watch information scroll across the screens as
they wait is an experience we are pleased to provide.”
