Beaufort County News Release
December 5, 2016
Some County Offices at Myrtle Park Closed for Training December 14
On
Wednesday, December 14, five Beaufort County Government offices at Myrtle Park
in Bluffton will be closed for a staff professional development day. The
offices to be closed on December 14 are the Assessor, Auditor, Building
Codes,
Business
License,
and Treasurer offices.
The offices will reopen under normal business hours at 8 a.m. on Thursday,
December 15.
All
Beaufort County offices at Myrtle Park in Bluffton, excluding the above
mentioned, and all Beaufort and Hilton Head Island offices will continue
operating on normal hours during the training.
Participants at the training will learn how to
manage the new ACF Technologies
Q-Flow Software Solution, a lobby management system scheduled to launch in
offices at Myrtle Park in early 2017.
According to the ACF Technologies website, the
new lobby management software will provide a quick and simple check-in process
along with multi-media options to keep customers relaxed and well-informed of
their place in line.
“The
launch of this innovative technology helps us in fulfilling our County-wide goal
of providing quality core services efficiently, said County Administrator Gary
Kubic. “We look forward to delivering a
more satisfying experience to our residents.”
The Q-Flow software will include ticket
printers, LED television displays, and a self-serve pedestal kiosk that features
a 19-inch touch screen and a barcode scanner.
“This investment will improve the quality of service
we provide to our citizens, said Mark Roseneau, director of facility management
for Beaufort County. “This training is a necessary step in ensuring that
Beaufort County residents receive the full benefits of the cutting-edge system.”
