From dragons reading and playful ducks to colorful clowns and everything in between, artists transformed Cedar River Drive into an open-air gallery during our annual Chalk Art Competition at Renton River Days. The pavement became a canvas celebrating this year’s theme: A Legacy in Color: Celebrating 40 Years Together.
Thank you to every artist, volunteer, Allied Arts of Renton, and 4Culture for making this colorful tradition possible. The creativity on display was a wonderful reminder that art brings people together.
This month is all about connection, creativity, and community as we celebrate local artists, gather at Legacy Square, and discover the many ways art is coming to life throughout Renton.
Congratulations to Our 2026 Chalk Art Competition Winners!
