Rainier Ave. S. Phase 4 Improvements Construction Update

Building a Safer Corridor Together

As a reminder, nighttime construction has paused temporarily now that final paving and overlay work is complete. Crews will return in November to finish striping and pavement markings. At this time, no road closures are expected.

Along most of the corridor, we’re installing new traffic curbs and medians, similar to those already in place at Rainier Ave S and Airport Way. These are designed to improve safety by limiting left turns, while still allowing U-turns at signalized intersections.
