 June 6
Every two years, we ask Renton residents to share their thoughts on what’s working, what’s not, and what’s needed. Your voice helps shape city plans, programs, and services.
The survey is available in English, Spanish, Chinese (simplified), Vietnamese, Tagalog, and Ukranian.
Information shared will not be connected to any personally identifiable information.
The last Community Survey was completed in 2023. From the results, staff identified areas of improvement needed in Renton, including Downtown safety, bikeability, walkability, walk/bike friendly design, code enforcement, and two-way dialogue. The city is continuing to work to address these concerns and others with projects and initiatives like:
-
Additional police officers and patrols: Focused in areas that attract crime in downtown and on the Cedar River Trail.
-
Paint with Purpose: To engage property owners, businesses, and local artists to reduce graffiti and enhance public spaces.

Pride Flag Raising recap
On Monday, we gathered together for Renton’s sixth Pride Flag raising. The evening included remarks from Mayor Armondo Pavone and Renton Pride Vice President, Winter Cashman.
At the 7 p.m. council meeting, Mayor Armondo Pavone proclaimed June 2025 as LGBTQIA+ Pride Month in the City of Renton. The proclamation was accepted by Winter Cashman, who shared that, “the proclamation is not just symbolic; it’s powerful. Renton has backed up its word with action, from updating its ordinances to protect non-discrimination, to six years of flying our flag outside of Renton City Hall during Pride Month.”
Thank you, Renton, for cheering on our LGBTQIA+ community and “showing tangible, joyful love in our city.”
